IRHQ was born out of a moment no one ever wants to face.

At 3 a.m. on a Saturday, our co-founder found himself knee-deep in a ransomware incident—unprepared, without solid frameworks, and relying on processes that simply didn't scale.

In that moment, with the clock ticking and pressure mounting, he realized a harsh truth: when your back is against the wall, the last thing you should be worrying about is whether your processes will hold up.

That experience exposed a reality many security teams face today. Too often, Incident Response is pieced together with bootstrapped workflows that collapse under the first sign of real-world stress. What works "well enough" in theory doesn't stand up to the chaos of an actual breach.

From that night, the vision for IRHQ took shape:
